ABOUT THE BOOK
In the first Super Duper Pajama Kids Adventure story, we met Nate. He was terribly afraid of the dark. You know, the fear where you lie on your back, pull your knees to your chest and pull the covers up to your chin. You get knots in your stomach and try not to fart because you don’t want to smell it. Then your eyes tear, and as much as you try not to call mommy or daddy, your mouth somehow opens anyway for a <WIDE> scream.
One night, after Nate finally cried himself to sleep, a little girl German girl named Ada ran past him in Dreamland. It was dark, dark-dark. And it seemed somebody was chasing her. Run, she said, the Wolpertinger is coming!
“Wolpertinger?” Said Nate. All he saw was Ada and her pink and white pajamas. Whatever it was, he knew how Ada felt because of his feelings about the Boogeyman.
“Hurry!” She said. She was so afraid, she didn’t even notice Nate running right beside her. He felt it as real as her heart pounding inside his chest. Suddenly, she vanished.
Nate hadn’t been in Wolpertinger Forest before. Being there alone turned his stomach to rocks. Hello? He called. There was no answer.
He brushed past a bush and saw it; his hand. It wasn’t tan anymore. It was light; much lighter. And the pink and white pajamas were his! He wasn’t just not Nate anymore. Now, he was Ada, running through the forest, trying to outsmart the Wolpertinger.
